I'm So Happy & Grateful That I...

There are a couple of homilies in coaching (well, more than a couple actually, but I am confining myself to these two today.   The first one is "be careful what you wish for" and the second one is "write it down, make it happen".

I just wanted to share with you today that forever - FOREVER - so long I have lost count - a couple of things have been on my wish list, written down and wished for with absolutely no idea how they were going to come true, such is my faith in these principles.

1. To own my own home again - done it (February 2008)
2. To be debt free - doing it (April to September 2008)   

I can hardly believe that two things I have wanted so much, so badly and for so long could both magically have come true and be coming true right now.  Awesome.   I am so happy and grateful that I own my own home again and I am so happy and grateful that I am becoming debt free and helping millions of others to achieve the same.

Anne's Consciousness Shifting Speeds My House Move

I'm on the move.   Moving away from my beloved Canary Wharf.   For a while, at least.  Last September my landlord let me know he was putting my home on the market.  Bummer.   I have been through the whole range of emotions - anger, sadness, surprise that any landlord would sell any property, particularly one as lovely as mine.   Then I relaxed as people came to visit in dribs and drabs but no-one offered on what is, after all, a postage stamp with the best view in the whole of London priced at half a mill!

And then, in early December, there were three viewings in one day and one of them offered and was accepted and I was duly served my notice for February, so I popped out and bought myself a new home for my own Christmas present, a nice tidy little BTL in Streatham Hill where I would lay my head for a while.

Only it's never as simple as that, is it?

Entrepreneur People - Real Stories

Travel Matters - Independent Travel Advice & Service

I had dinner last night with my old pal, Karen Simmonds, who runs Travel Matters in Clapham.   This is the travel agency I started about twelve years ago.   Being a Creator profile, I soon got bored with the project but Karen has taken it from a tiny acorn and grown it into a splendid, strong oak tree, far better than ever I could have done.

Now, why use a travel agent in this day and age when you can book and pay online?

Well, firstly it doesnt cost you any more to book with Travel Matters and they will give you their time in sourcing the right holiday for you for free so that's great for us time-poor types.   They have a wealth of experience in the travel industry, the tour operators send them on familiarisation trips so they can frequently recommend resorts to you in which they have stayed themselves.   Although they are based in Clapham, in SW London, there is absolutely no need to visit them, you can talk to them on the phone or email them and they will send you brochures etc. in the post or point you at web links.   

I have travelled frequently on holidays booked for me by Karen and her team and I thoroughly recommend them.   Join Karen's postal mailing list and she sends you out quarterly a gorgeous little glossy brochure with inspirational photos and ideas for your next break.   I'm just enjoying my copy now over a cup of Starbucks!

Yet Another Way to Make Money in Property

A disproportionate number of my clients invest in property, but many of us are keen to get the returns without actually being bothered with becoming a landlord.   My client, Peter Stanley, may have the answer for you.

The 5 Web Resources I Use The Most

Lovely Sandra, my toptastic Toronto web techie, with whom I really love working because she is bright, and funny, and just as quick as me (!) has blog-tagged me again.   Gosh, it's tricky keeping up with all this tag, but fun anyway.

Sandra is quite simply the best experience I have ever had, bar none, of outsourcing work; Sandra is a vital part of my success team and I have no idea how I would cope without her and I hope I never have to find out. She's resourceful and adds value and I am really rather unwilling to share her with you and that's me having an uncharacteristically scarce moment there!

Dropshippers for Internet Entrepreneurs

Here's another one - Rivaldo Gibs his name was, contacted me out of the blue yesterday with details of his firm's dropshipping facility.   Now us internet entrepreneurs are always talking about dropshippers but I have never got so far as to find one for myself and bizarrely I am going to need one soon and this one dropped into my inbox yesterday.   How weird is that?

No idea what they are like, but might give them a try.   Anyone used Aid & Trade and can recommend them or any other dropshipper for that matter?

www.aidandtrade.com - they say they are the answer to all our dropshipping needs.   Good.   I need one of those.

A Useful Resource for Property Investors

This resourceful young chap called Patrick phoned me yesterday.   Perky Pete, my estate agent, put him in touch.   He has a bang on scheme for landlords which I think you will enjoy.   Their website doesnt appear to me to detail this so let me know if you want his phone number and I will give it to you. The service they offer to landlords is entirely free (as it is to your tenant too) and what it does is takes the readings when your tenant moves in and out and makes sure they dont abscond leaving you with unpaid utility bills AND advises your tenant on bundling these all together and getting the cheapest option.   Now the savvy amongst us all know how they make their money, don't we, but so what?   This is still a good idea.  SOLD to the lady in pink!

They are called Money Angels and their site is www.money-angels.com.   They've got something even sexier coming soon but I forget what it was.   However, when it comes on stream he's going to call me again and I will share it with y'all.
