    I'm So Happy & Grateful That I...

Abc_sparklers_4 There are a couple of homilies in coaching (well, more than a couple actually, but I am confining myself to these two today.   The first one is "be careful what you wish for" and the second one is "write it down, make it happen".

I just wanted to share with you today that forever - FOREVER - so long I have lost count - a couple of things have been on my wish list, written down and wished for with absolutely no idea how they were going to come true, such is my faith in these principles.

    1. To own my own home again - done it (February 2008)
    2. To be debt free - doing it (April to September 2008)

I can hardly believe that two things I have wanted so much, so badly and for so long could both magically have come true and be coming true right now.  Awesome.   I am so happy and grateful that I own my own home again and I am so happy and grateful that I am becoming debt free and helping millions of others to achieve the same.

If you want to own your own home with no money down check this out.   And if you want to start the journey to debt freedom forever check this out.   Either way, feel free to contact me so I can explain how learning about Rent To Own can get you your own home for only £1 and how you too can become debt free.   It would be my pleasure to share two of my best ever top financial tips.

20 Things I am Grateful For Tonight

Romney_bay_house_3 As I go to bed tonight, pretty tired as ever, here's a list of just 20 of the thousands of things I am grateful for:

    1. David and Anne, Clare, Gareth and Jeremy - my family
    2. My health, wealth and happiness and that of all of you too
    3. The summer come early that has been this sunny week in London, long may it continue please
    4. Pete who is coming to build my garden shed tomorrow morning
    5. Lorna, back from Italy, with whom I shared a Frappuccino on Saturday afternoon
    6. My new home and Mitsy my new cat
    7. My soft and comfy bed
    8. My lovely and loving friends - If you count yourself as one, I love you
    9. A splendid lunch in the garden today after The Archers and Desert Island Discs with Annie Lennox who must be entirely the same age as me as most if not all of her choices could have been mine!
    10. Tens of thousands of pounds in my bank accounts, just the beginning of unlimited abundance
    11. My new car, the very Urbanproof Nissan Qashqai which I can nearly drive now - it's manual!
    12. The opportunities presented by Rent2Own and ClaimWithJudith, two exciting new ways of making money in the current financial market, an entrepreneur must always be on her toes
    13. Interesting colleagues to work with and clients to help - always
    14. Podcasting Suzanne and Peter tomorrow
    15. Nick, the Rock & Roll Gardener, on the case with the scrub patch I call my garden
    16. Perky Pete, the Estate Agent in Nunhead and my first Option to Buy deal, I feel it coming on
    17. All the folks who have helped me so far in my wealth creation journey
    18. Lunch at The Ivy on Tuesday to look forward to with one our Money Gym success stories
    19. The Elite Entrepreneurs Club coming to the end of their first year this week
    20. EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques

I am so lucky and abundant I could go on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on..................zzzzzzzzz

    Driving Miss Judith

Beetle_cabrio Those lovely folks over at 50+ Life Design asked me to write something for their blog which would inspire the over Fifties.   Yikes, there's a challenge, and quite bizarre actually. I dont know about you, but although it says I qualify on my passport, frankly I still dont believe it.   It comes as something of an affront.

Anyway I wrote something about buying my first convertible car for my 50th birthday - so if you are fifty plus, in need of some inspiration of just love a good story or convertible cars, you can read it here.

How To Become a Money Magnet

20_note See a penny, pick it up, all day long you'll have good luck.   So goes the saying, or sommat like that.   Anyway, sod the pennies, its pounds and notes we want, isn't it?

Only last Saturday I was telling a group of Money Gymers at our Let's Talk Money day that the streets of London (and everywhere else) are paved with gold and to keep their eyes peeled because money is literally waiting to be picked up.   Pennies from heaven, notes which others have carelessly let fall, its everywhere. T. Harv Eker taught us special places to look for it and what to say to ourselves as we pick it up "I am a money magnet, I am, I am, I am".

And then, you'll never guess what happened on Sunday - we found a £20 note on the floor!   I couldn't believe it, I think this may my biggest ever find although I do remember finding two notes in the carpark, can't remember whether that was £15 or £30 together.   I was saying to my chum "WOW, I only taught them about this yesterday!" and there it was, literally at our feet - and not just a tiny amount of cash either, a goodly stash.   We had just been to the cinema, this paid for our tickets and we got change!   How brilliant is that?

Shall I tell you the karmic reason why I think we found this £20?   My pal had said before we went to the cinema that her house was full of coins, discarded bits of shrapnel sitting around the flat in different places and she had decided to collect them all together and bank them.   She has be doing that with her bigger money recently (under my somewhat bullying guidance) and I think this was her reward for demonstrating that she pays attention.   Once you start to pay attention to what you have, more comes.   I'm fairly sure she has banked about £30 this week, in small change.   Add to that her half share of the £20 find and, to be honest, it was her beady eyes which found it.   But guess what the first thing she did with it was?   Gave it to me!  Imagine you could have someone else find your money for you, this story just keeps getting better and better, doesnt it?   Free money.   Lovely.

Anyway, as ever, I digress.   Keep your beady eyes peeled and you too can be a money magnet.   And even better, it wasn't one of those old scruffy twenties like in the picture, it was one of the wonderful crisp shiny silvery new ones!   Please leave a comment sharing your best cash money finds.

Anne's Consciousness Shifting Speeds My House Move

Seacon_living_room I'm on the move.   Moving away from my beloved Canary Wharf.   For a while, at least.  Last September my landlord let me know he was putting my home on the market.  Bummer.   I have been through the whole range of emotions - anger, sadness, surprise that any landlord would sell any property, particularly one as lovely as mine.   Then I relaxed as people came to visit in dribs and drabs but no-one offered on what is, after all, a postage stamp with the best view in the whole of London priced at half a mill!

And then, in early December, there were three viewings in one day and one of them offered and was accepted and I was duly served my notice for February, so I popped out and bought myself a new home for my own Christmas present, a nice tidy little BTL in Streatham Hill where I would lay my head for a while.

Only it's never as simple as that, is it?

Reduce Stress at Work - Go It Alone!

Stress It's official - it's better for your health to work for yourself!

According to a little piece in The Times today about Office Health in Ten Easy Steps:

"Ok, so it's a big step, but research indicates that people who take the plunge and become self-employed report a higher level of job satisfaction and less stress. A study last year in the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology found that self-employed people had greater autonomy and less job pressure than those in big organisations."

Not that you need to be a rocket scientist to work that out!   But anyway, it's nice to have it confirmed.

    The Nice Things They Say...

Janet_swift People often send me kind messages which I store in a file called Warm Fuzzies.   This is a useful place to hide on a bad day!   The ever abundant Janet Swift sent me this today: as part of a much longer piece entitled I'm The Lucky Winner Again (of course she is, cor blimey - you should SEE that girl manifest!).

"I know you don't like receiving, I never used to either.  My Mother used to say "Jan, if you don't allow yourself to take, you deprive the other of giving".  Well, at the risk of being cut off, I am going to say that when I met you, I sensed that same abundant Universal love that I felt with Paul Price*.  It's a special gift which, in my experience, is displayed by just a few but which is priceless beyond measure.  You're one of those 'lucky winners'!"

    * the consultant endocrinologist who saved Janet's life

By the way Janet, it's not that I dont like receiving, it's just that I'm not very good at it.

    Yet.

    Abundant Stuff continued...

    Angels Oops, sorry, forgot something.

    8.   People have been having abundant dreams about me.   Two examples follow.

Firstly, Nicola dreamed we were at a Money Gym workshop and either it was my birthday or the last workshop, and Steve, Paul Fuggle and she had organised loads of presents for me which they slipped in and onto the table at the front while I was in the loo including an engraved glass ball like the one Nicola was given by the World Internet Summit. And loads of people emailed in testimonials from all over the world and Nicola said "and we all cried and you were so happy".   Nicola described this as the most lovely and vivid dream.   Indeed it is, N.

Secondly, Marion dreamed I left her £10,000,000 in my will.   Apart from the obvious flaws with this dream, I am not only dead but pre-decease Marion who is but a few scant years younger than me, it's also a pretty cool dream.   I love Marion, but she won't be at the top of the list of my beneficiaries as she knows, so Marion and i were able to calculate that for me to leave her ten million, I must have:

    • Enjoyed a pretty fantastic, wealthy and abundant life myself to have left so much behind
    • have left the majority of my estate to my beloved neice and two nephews
    • and there still be enough change left (ahead of the cat's home) to leave Marion a cool ten mill!

Toptastic.   I wonder what Universal, angelic magic caused two of my closest buddies to dream so wonderfully on my behalf?

    As if I didn't know!

EFT - The Evidence, The Angels, Adam and my Field of Dreams

Expecting_adam After last weekend at our Success on Tap EFT workshop, Ann asked us to collect evidence as we went about our daily business of creating the day we want (scripting), affirming, tapping and logging things we are grateful for in our nightly routine of a Gratitude Journal, evidence that our tapping is working.

Here's my evidence at the end of this first week.   Pin back your luggoles, this is going to be a long posting, as I have enjoyed and co-created a very abundant week.   Sorry.   Not.

    Baby's Got Blue Eyes

Blue_eyes_brother_and_sister My colleague and client Sue Kennedy of Blue Eyes Photo has a new venture.   Sue is a talented photographer who I have known since 2003 when she took the photos for my website.   I hate having my photo taken, as so many of us do, and do not regard myself as photogenic at all.   So I seize upon any photo of myself I like and use it all over my online marketing materials.

The session with Sue was painless.   Sue loves to use natural light and she took lots of shots both inside and out and we had some fun using my Beetle car.   Sue instantly knew when she had taken a shot I would like and there were at least three within the shoot I could use.

Now Sue has a new venture.   Kids Photography.

Happiness Is Knowing That You Have Made a Difference

Dsc00036 Last Thursday was my leaving party from The Eventworks where I have held things together in the finance department for ten years.  This marked (finally) my retirement from accounting.   Being an event company, they threw me THE most spectactular party all orchestrated by Jane, the Directors' PA, at a local hostelry.   As we walked along the road and got nearer to the venue, I could hear Caribbean music coming from a live steel band, one of my favourite sounds.

The doorway was garlanded in gorgeous pink fresh flowers, and two girls from the office were waiting in grass skirts and flowers to put a lei round my neck.   Mine was made from real flowers, roses and orchids, all pink.   Everyone else was dressed in holiday clothes - T-shirts, shorts, brightly coloured outfits, straw hats and cut-offs.   There was a bouncy castle with a sort of bucking bronco in the form of a surfboard, and you had to try and stay on it.   Few succeeded and I didnt even attempt it, what with my knees?

    Full Moon Resolutions

Dsc00015_1 Ta Da!   There it is in all it's glory - my first capture of the perfect photographic moment, on Thursday 4th, a full moon on the night of 3rd/4th - and this taken at 8.10 a.m. - you should have seen me!   A flurry of activity (in my nightie) while I discovered that I didnt have sufficient battery to take the pic, so charging the battery for a few moments until I could get this shot.   There's a lot more to this photographic lark than meets the eye!

The moon over The Gherkin, at low tide.   And while we are on the topic of full moons, I want to share a couple of thoughts which Marion brought during her Christmas visit because they seem to be very appropriate when we are planning our personal 2007s.

    Always Remember, for 2007...

    • Life is short
    • Break the rules
    • Forgive quickly
    • Kiss slowly
    • Love truly
    • Laugh uncontrollably, and
    • Never regret anything that made you smile

    Happy New Year!

    French Caribbean Culinary Round-up

Img_0727 I confess that one of the main reasons for our choice of St Martin for this year's big "December off" project was that it is described as the gastronomic capital of the Caribbean.   In my experience, this wouldn't be hard, as there's not much to eat - ribs, burgers, etc. normally.   But they were true to their word, the food was FAB and they are justly proud of their reputation and work hard at it.

Whether or not one wants fine French dining in those temperatures is quite another thing.  However, it seemed churlish not to take advantage, and here are a few of our favourite dining opportunities should you ever find yourself in need of a decent meal in St Martin - and if you have been on a yacht for a while, you will, trust me - you will!

    Paradise Found

Img_0745 Call off the search - we've found paradise, and it's official.   It's called Pinel Island and its a five minute boat trip off St Maarten at the top (French side) of the island.

It's got golden sand, clean, clear turquoise waters calm enough to enjoy floating and snorkelling in all day, sunbeds, parasols, palm trees, a boutique shop on the sand which appears to be unmanned so you can browse unpestered until you find the perfect pareo, and best of all, it's got a French restaurant on the beach.   Here are some of yesterday's highlights and yes, we are going back today, tomorrow and the next day!

Any Flavour You Like...So Long as It's Banana!

Img_0613 Saturday begins bright and early, as do many days over the next week, thanks to the jetlag.   Lilian (the property manager) arrives at 9 a.m. full of apologies for yesterday, with a peace offering.   "None required", I say with classic Brit politeness, as she proffers a little white bag.   While I am chatting to her and inviting her to sit down and tell us her life story (she's from Harrogate, has lived here for 20+ years, came with her husband who has since died), N is examing the contents of the bag.   Muffins      At some point she comes over to me and hisses at me as discreetly as she can "these are warm".   Warm muffins, mmm mmm - that's my kinda peace offering.

    Wasting Time, Heroically

My colleague, Nicola Cairncross of The Money Gym, led me astray horribly last week.   She taught me how to waste time heroically online finding out which world leader, which film character from The Matrix and which film matched my personality in three online quizzes.   I'm not even going to tell you how to do this, dear reader, because I want you to be productive this week, but here are my results.

    One Good Thing about Winter

One good thing about the onset of winter, following on from my previous post, is that my favourite television programme returns - the X-Factor.

Yes, I know.   Sad, isn't it.   I have no idea why this programme is so appealing to me and no wish to examine that and know the answer.

All I know is that it is all the most gorgeous fun - tears and laughter all the way.

    The Millionaire Ladies who Lunch

A favourite client and I had lunch together on Friday at The Ivy.   It was glamorous, and gorgeous and we had a lovely, lovely time.   We sat down to lunch at 2.30 and had to be moved from our table to the bar at 5.15 to continue enjoying each other's company.   The food was wonderful, so was the wine (pink champagne) and the service, as ever, was elegant.   They make you feel like a princess, or two princesses in this case.

We are resolved to do it again.   We talked about money.   We talked about property portfolios, businesses, dream teams, and the wonderful life we are now living.   The people we are being required to become, and the chums we have met along the way.   Could there be a better reason for such an extravagant celebration?   I think not.

    Curiouser and Curiouser

Feeling rather like Alice in Wonderland, as you will tell from my heading, I received a gift from the Universe this morning.   15 pink roses and a glass vase to put them in.   Delivered by Next Flowers with this message:  "with love from the universe TU".

Since its bound to be from one of you, my gentle readers, thanks.

    Now, how weird is that?

    Just Sitting

My coach has got me doing something called "Just Sitting".   It's a precursor to developing a regular meditation habit which I have tried unsuccessfully so far to create, despite philosophy classes encouraging us to do what they call "the exercise" which is three minutes three times a day.   You would think I would be able to manage that, wouldn't you?   But no.

So here's how Just Sitting works.

    Here Comes the Sun

I'm giving a lot of thought at the moment to what I really want.   I'm trying to define my ideal simple life.   Its got a lot of elements to it - which seems like a contradiction in itself (!) - simplifying my possessions, my business activities, my coaching programmes, my accounts, my tax status, my relationships and my life.

My current thoughts are about ridding myself of all but the essentials and scarpering to the sun.   I seem to making a rather long do out of this.   If what I want is to live in the sun, why dont I just go off an do it?   Could it be simpler than that?   I dont think so, do you?

Oh, Dear - What Can The Matter Be?

Judith Morgan got locked in the lavatory.

No, not the lav.   I got locked in the Canary Wharf Jubilee Place carpark at 08.43 this morning, with a 9 a.m. (prospective) coaching client waiting for me at home.  A pretty stressy and inauspicious start to another averagely wonderful day in the life of a Business Coach.   Whilst I watched and seethed at the ineptitude around me as it took seventeen minutes for the unmanned carpark kiosk to find a man and sort it, my new client was phoning home and finding me...well, not there.

    Fast Cars and Sex

    There!   That's got your attention...

It was another top-down day in the car yesterday, the second in the 2006 series.   It's a tad chilly as yet, but us top-downers are a hardy breed and it only takes the teeniest of tiny hints of sunshine and its top down and off we go.

And I swear - my car goes faster with the top down.

    O Wondrous Tuesday!

I tried to write this up late last night when I was even more excited about how wonderful yesterday was and we probably should be grateful that I pressed the wrong button in my excitement and exhaustion and deleted the whole post.   For it was rather over excited, so let me see if I can still do justice to my happy Tuesday from this distance and perspective.

The original post was all about loathing Tuesdays.   I can remember at school they were particularly bad, double maths or something.   And I used to have a little ritual on a Tuesday evening to celebrate that my worst day of the week was over, which involved taking the ribbon off my ponytail and tie-ing it a bow on the top of my head.   A celebratory bow.   Shame I don't have a photo to show you, or perhaps not!   Anyhoo.

My New Definition of an Optimist

    Saying Thank You

Today I received a bottle of champagne in the post from a favourite client.   Clearly I am his favourite coach too.   But it wasn't an ordinary bottle of champagne, it is a bottle of PINK champagne because he knows this is my favourite colour.   How thoughtful is that?   It's going the extra mile and more than doubled my appreciation of his thankyou.

Which has made me think a bit about saying thankyous.

    Feliz Ano Nuevo

Well, we've bypassed Feliz Navidad since I last blogged and now we are onto Feliz Ano Nuevo.   We have only three days left in the wonderful warm sunshine of Baja and so my thoughts are turning inevitably to the New Year and what I want for myself and wondering what my clients will want for their 2006s also.

As usual, I am turning to my favourite book on year-planning, Jinny Ditzler's Your Best Year Yet.

    Nice Day, Today

Its another lovely day in paradise.   One still remarks upon it, silly really - 'cos 350 days a year are sunny here.

    Saturdays are Nice

    Saturdays are nice, aren't they?

I'm amazed by how time feels different depending upon which day of the week it is.

Mondays to Fridays have a distinct feeling to them, so do Saturdays but that feeling is different, and Sundays are another thing altogether, a hangover from boarding school which hasn't left me after 33 years!   And the weird thing is... when you work for yourself all days should feel the same, 'cos you can choose what you do and when you do it.   Work at the weekends, skive off in the week.
